Amlet  –

This variety is cultivated in Salem district of Tamilnadu. It is also known as Hamlet and some call it as Omlet also.

In Andhra it is also called as Manoranjani. As the name implies the fruit is very attractive with red orange to yellow color.

Fruit is large, ovate base (top of the fruit) is slightly flattened and apex (Bottom) is broadly pointed. Skin in medium thick with small dots and flesh soft, fibreless with pleasant flavor – sweet and juicy. Keeping quality is medium.
